Looking forward to splash

I’m looking out of my boat cover after working to replace my holding tank and praying for the splash. Be of good cheer it’s almost here.

I’m feeling a bit of spring fever myself. Looking forward to the fun adventures in the coming season.

Meh! This is the first year I have not checked on the boat over the winter. Maybe the cold winter was a little less inviting or a bit of arthritis in the shoulder made the idea of climbing up the ladder a less of an urgent trip. But, first I’ll be heading to Key West for my annual visit after which things should have warmed up enough to make trips to the boatyard more enjoyable.

Mike,

When in Key West be sure to visit Sloppy Joes and party till dawn, then watch the sun rise over empty streets. That’s a sure cure for winter blues.

Been going to Key West since 1983. I’ve hung out at Sloppy Joes and Captain Tony’s more times than I can remember. Still remember having Burritos outside Sloppy Joes and Fish Sandwiches at the now closed Full Moon Saloon at 2 AM. I now no longer drink alcohol these days. I save a ton of money these days not doing Duval Street pub crawl. But, the trip these days allows me to jump start summer and watching the sailboats at sunset gets me revved up to get spring outfitting started on my Nonsuch. I’m still up for the sunrise but, these days it’s after a good nights sleep.
