To become a member of the Nonsuch community site, you have to be invited. An invitation link has previously been sent to the Nonsuch Google group.
When you click on the llink, you are taken to a web page to enter your username, password, and some basic information:
After you complete the invitation, there will be one more step - you will receive an email with a link back to the site. This is to confirm that you entered a working email address.
You now have a working account. You can login and take a look at:
Starting with some basics -
Discourse has some slightly different jargon. What was a “Conversation” in Google is called a “Topic” here.
To start a new discussion on this site you start a new topic, by clicking on New Topic. This first posting starts a Topic with that title that you select (in Google, it was the subject of your email). All replies become a part of that topic’s “thread”.

Your user profile tells us who you are and lets you make some choices as to how your want the site to look and act.
You can access your user profile by clicking on the icon in the top upper right (it will initially be the first letter of your username or later on the icon that you uploaded).This opens a drop down list. At the bottom of the list is the outline of a person. Click on that and it opens up a new list of items. From there, click on Preferences (it’s next to the last item):
