Looking for recommendations.
Need to have a fresh water pump rebuilt on Puerto Rico. It’s for a Westerbeke W46
Replacements are only available aftermarket coming from China, so would prefer to have it rebuilt on island if possible.

Look for a Mitsubishi garden tractor parts. Same engine line-up except the parts are painted grey instead of orange-red.

Fresh water (closed circuit coolant), not raw water (water from outside of the boat)?
When my fresh water pump (on W27A engine, a Mitsubish KD4 block) began to leak, I was informed it could not be rebuilt. Found a fresh water (circulation) replacement at SouthernGlobalTractor.com… was 1/4 the price than from Westerbeke. Perfect replacement. Painted it w high-temp engine primer then w high-temp Ford engine paint red… very close match.
If it is your fresh water pump, start soaking, and gently tapping, the bolts w PB Blaster now, so they will back out fairly easily when you have to remove the current unit.
Also, go to the INA Google Discussion Group and search fresh water pump. Many good conversations on the topic (if you haven’t done this already)
